"Listening From the Heart" with Dr. Dawn Gross

Join Dr. Dawn Gross, hospice and palliative care physician, for an intimate and thoughtful presentation drawn from her experiences at the bedside. Through heartfelt stories of patients and families, Dr. Gross reflects on love, grief, resilience, and what truly matters as we navigate life’s later chapters. This talk offers gentle insight, meaningful reflection, and a reminder of the power of presence and listening—at any stage of life. You can also find more information about the book here: https://www.anxlife.com/heartsounds/ (https://www.anxlife.com/heartsounds/)

Dawn Gross, MD, PhD (aka DrAsYouWish), is a pioneer in revolutionary hospice and palliative medicine. Her work is infused with patient care, scientific curiosity, and storytelling, which she brings to her roles as a writer, podcaster, thought leader, and "magic wand bearer."

Dr. Dawn earned her MD and PhD in immunology from Tufts University and completed a fellowship in hematology with an emphasis on bone marrow transplant at Stanford University. She transitioned to hospice and palliative medicine after the death of her father in 2006.

Dr. Dawn views grief as an injury and has developed a novel approach to healing called the “I SEE YOU (ICU) for the Soul.” She is the creator and host of the radio program Dying to Talk. Her work has been published in The New York Times, JAMA, Science, and Annals of Internal Medicine, and she speaks internationally. Gratefully married for over three decades, she continues to pursue her "masters in parenting" from her three children.
